Angel Yee Day

“This was my first ever ‘Angela Yee Day’ and I wanted to have a black party that was free for the neighborhood and fun for families and kids. I wanted to celebrate Caribbean culture, have food, and resources- but most of all celebrate Brooklyn” Angela Yee said.

Angela Yee supporters, radio/podcast listeners, family, and friends took over the Restoration Plaza on August 28, 2019 on Fulton Street to celebrate the life and success of the Breakfast Club’s very own, Angela Yee.

“Despite the rain, Angela Yee Day was a success! I couldn’t feel more appreciated by the community. I was overwhelmed,” Angela said.

Celebrities such as; The Jasmine Brand, Casanova, Tamika Mallory, Angie Martinez, Taylor Rooks, Natauri Naughton, and more came out to party with media mogul and industry legend.

Paris Guy- Angela Yee’s friend/manager said, “It was a lot of work preparing for this day. A lot of sleepless nights, anxiety, excitement, and array of feelings, but it was all worth it because Ang works hard and everyone that came out, had fun!”

Rapper, Casanova said, "Wassup Brooklyn! Thanks for having me Angela!”

Wing Stop was also one of the events sponsors and provided free chicken to attendees. Live performances from Christopher Martin, Dovey Magnum, Noah Powa, Naomi Cowan, Hood Celebrity, and DJ Norie. The stage was literally shaking from all the music and dancing.

“The performances were amazing. The food was amazing. And it was literally one big reggae concert! I wanted to be here today because Angela is literally one of the most caring and genuine people in this industry. Congratulations! She deserves it, and I’m already excited for next year,” The Jasmine Brand said.

“Can’t say thank you enough. I love my city,” Angela Yee said.
