It’s great to receive an Oscar year after year when you are the best at your craft, however, this year’s Oscars ceremony was filled with historical moments for well-deserved, first time recipients. The award ceremony was a memorable moment for many recipients. 

 

 

 

Regina King- Actor, Producer, and Director, and won her first Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role last night. Regina is most known or her roles in “Poetic Justice”, “Boys in the Hood”, “Jerry Maguire”, and “Daddy Daycare”. However, her role in “If Beal Street Could Talk” awarded her performance for Best Actress in a supporting role.

Marvel Comics have been around since 1939, providing the world with great non-fiction comic stories and movies, created by Martin Goodman, along with Stan Lee. Now, 80 years later, the movie “Black Panther” landed three awards for Marvel, specifically the very first Oscar for a Marvel movie in history. Award placements includes a historic Production Design for Hannah Beachler and Jay Hart, Ruth Carter for Best Costume Design, and Ludwig Göransson for Best Original Score for his musical contribution.
