The new organization,
Reform Alliance, seeks to “'Change Outdated Laws” in our justice system. Comprised of Meek, Jay-Z, Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and other activists. The alliance plans to use its budget of $50 million to
reduce the number of incarcerated Americans by 1 million over the next five years.
The new organization
shared a tweet sharing its overall mission:
“The mission of the REFORM Alliance is to dramatically reduce the number of people who are unjustly under the control of the criminal justice system – starting with probation and parole. To win, we will leverage our considerable resources to change laws, policies, hearts & minds,” the statement reads.
We can’t wait to see how this organization invites change.
