Toni Maticevski is an Australian fashion designer of Macedonian origins, known all over the world for his vision of feminine, artful silhouettes. He studied fashion at RMIT University graduating with First Class Honors.
After graduating he won a Fashion Group International Award and after working in Paris for Cerruti he returned to Melbourne in 1998, to launch his own label. Numerous international awards won by the designer such as Prix de Marie Claire Best New Designer award and the L'Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
His vision of fashion is based on the use of complex draping techniques juxtaposed with fluid and contrasting fabrics creating alluring sculptured silhouettes that have been akin to art.
Maticevski’s glamorous looks are for the unconventional women who dares to be different.
His models show an innate understanding of fabric and its applications. He tries to explore new complex drapery as well as new tailoring and lines, in order to combine fluid and classical silhouettes with twisted, draped and structural designs. The materials are luxurious: chiffons, silks, satins and tulle crafted to create sculptural pieces.
