Four Steps for More Peace, Balance + Joy
In today's world, with all the technology and pressures, where you are constantly expected to be available at all hours of the day - it’s easy to feel out of balance, over-extended and exhausted.
Here are my four easy steps to bring more peace, balance and joy back into your life:
🌿 Schedule “me time” in your calendar like you would for an important meeting at work. Block the time off, plan on it and commit to it. Self care is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. It will benefit your mind, body, soul and all of those around you.
🌿 Wake up 15 minutes earlier than you need to. Set the tone and your intention for the day to come. This time can be spent stretching, journaling, meditating, reading, planning or simply just being. Control your day, don’t let your day control you.
🌿 Stop spreading yourself too thin and saying yes to things when you really want to say no. Learn how to say no and not feel guilty about it.
🌿 Make your everyday, mundane chores around the house more enjoyable. We all have to do the dishes and clean the house - but try listening to your favorite podcast while doing it. Light candles and play relaxing music while cooking dinner. Make these tasks more enjoyable and then watch your resistance to them decline.
That’s it. Four easy, sustainable and free steps we can all do to manage our days + feel more peace, balance and joy.
Remember to take care of you first. You can't pour from an empty cup!
