Azzi & Osta

Written by: Patrizia Bertucci @fashion.whispers

The Azzi & Osta brand was born from an idea of the Lebanese designer duo George Azzi and Assaad Osta, born in 1986. Both grew up in environments that contributed greatly to forming their passion for fashion and sewing: George Azzi in contact with the grandmothers who sewed to measure and of whom he used the scraps of fabric to create complex shapes and designs, Assaad Osta in contact with the fashion-loving mother who created her clothes in search of the perfect fit.

Azzi passionate about surrealist art capable of reconciling dream and reality, logical and illogical traits that he then brought back in his unique style, Osta always in search of perfection that leads him to a strong artistic research.

Both art enthusiasts enrolled in Esmond Beyrouth, the famous Lebanese fashion school in 2004.The school offered both the opportunity to hone their art and their talent so much so that both received important awards together with the diplomas from the jury chaired by Elie Saab who judged their final collections: both became Assistant Designers at Elie Saab fashion couture.

After 18 months of internship with an important wealth of experience and thanks also to the patronage of Elie Saab, they decided to take flight by creating the Azzi & Osta brand.

Their style can be defined as vintage but with strong contemporary touches: the volumes are structured and enveloping, the shapes almost excessive and of great impact to dress a glamorous and sophisticated woman.

Their unique and eclectic creations have also attracted the attention of many celebrities such as Beyoncè, Cardi B and Kendall Jenner.
